The 2024 Edmonton Oilers Playoffs, presented by Molson, return to downtown’s ICE District as the epicentre of post-season excitement.

Whether you are attending a game at Rogers Place or joining the Oil Country faithful at Edmonton’s biggest and best watch parties, here’s everything you need to know before coming to cheer on your Edmonton Oilers!

Accessing Rogers Place

With increased volume of vehicle traffic and fans headed downtown to be a part of the playoff excitement, we have revised our path of travel recommendations:

For home game days, ticket holders can enter Rogers Place through one of the following options:

  • Pedways
  • 104 avenue north entrance
  • North LRT entrance
  • 104 avenue south entrance

Ticket Management

We recommend that you access your tickets through your Ticketmaster App, Ticketmaster.ca or the Rogers Place App-Oilers Account Manager. To allow for smooth entry, it is strongly suggested to load tickets to your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet prior to arriving at Rogers Place.

Merchandise

Your home for Edmonton Oilers Playoff gear, The Official Oilers Team store in ICE District Plaza boasts 3,400 square feet of retail space filled with Oilers merchandise and one-of-a-kind game-used equipment.

The ICE District Authentics pop up store in Ford Hall will be open two hours prior to game start.

Studio 99

Studio 99 is bigger and better than ever for this year’s playoffs! Located inside Rogers Place, Studio 99 offers elevated sports bar dining buffet style pregame and a-la-carte after puck drop. Ford Tailgate Party

For all playoff games, fans can watch live from ICE District Plaza at the Ford Tailgate Party.

The Ford Tailgate Party programming will include a DJ, appearances from team mascot Hunter, Edmonton Oilers alumni appearances and signings, and of course the game on the big screen.

      • Yes, fans of all ages are welcome at the Ford Tailgate Party.
  • Will there be entertainment?
      • Yes! In addition to the watch party, there will be music, alumni signings and more.
  • Do you accept cash on-site?
      • This will be a cashless event, please plan accordingly for your trip.
  • Can I leave and re-enter the area?
      • Yes, re-entry is allowed, however space is limited and not guaranteed when you return.
  • Can I bring alcoholic beverages?
      • No, outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted inside the event area.
  • Can I bring my pet?
      • Unfortunately, pets (with the exception of service animals) are not permitted on site.
  • Will there be food and beverage available on site?
      • Yes, food and beverages will be available for purchase inside the event area.
  • Can I take photos and videos?
      • Absolutely! We encourage you to take photos of your experience at the Ford Tailgate Party. Don’t forget to tag us @IceDistrict.
      • Non-flash, still photography is welcome in ICE District if the camera lens does not exceed 3 inches (detachable or non-detachable). Only credentialed individuals may bring professional cameras into the watch parties venues.
  • I found a lost item, where should I take it?
      • Guests who have lost or found an item can bring the item to any staff working the event located by the entrance.
  • I have lost an item, where can I find it?
      • If you are still on site, check in with the entrance tent during operational hours
      • Guests inquiring about a lost item post-event should contact our team by emailing info@icedistrict.com or calling 780-414-LIVE (5483).
  • Do I need a ticket to attend?
    • Tickets are not required and the event is free to attend.
    • Space is limited, make sure you arrive early!

Safety & Accessibility

  • Is the entire event outdoors?
      • Yes, the Ford Tailgate Party takes place outdoors. Don’t forget to dress for the weather!
  • Is there a place to sit or rest?
      • There will be bleacher style seating available on the event site but space will be limited.
  • Will restrooms be available on-site?
      • Yes, public washrooms are available onsite.
  • Is the space wheelchair accessible?
      • Yes! The area will be wheelchair accessible, however conditions may change for wheelchair access from day to day in response to the weather.
  • Will you run the event if the forecast is calling for bad weather?
    • Outdoor event cancellation may occur should dangerous conditions arise (i.e. winds greater than 50 km/hr or temperatures -20 or lower including wind chill).
    • We will make announcements on social media as well as this webpage with updates. Stay tuned to @IceDistrict across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates.
    • If there is a cancellation for your time slot, Ticketmaster will issue a refund to the original purchase account.
  • Transit

The Downtown location makes ICE District accessible by transit, with over 40 bus routes and 5 LRT stations within walking distance from the arena. For more information on transit, visit takeETS.com/Downtown.

Scotiabank Fan Park

This post-season, fans can enjoy a bigger and louder atmosphere in the Scotiabank Fan Park! This space is open for all playoff games and will feature live entertainment, incredible giveaways and the best playoff atmosphere in Edmonton!

Fan Park at ICE District is a large, fenced, programmable space designed to accommodate and celebrate the uniqueness of Oil Country, its citizens and Downtown Edmonton.

Rogers Road Game Watch Party parking is available at the ICE District Central Parkade for just $15!

Located on the north side of 103 Ave just west of 103 St, the ICE District Central Parkade offers heated spaces with convenient access to Rogers Place.

Please note that activations within ICE District will affect Rogers Place access throughout the playoffs, including navigation within the ICE District Central Parkade. Staff will be available throughout the parkade to assist with wayfinding before each event.

Molson Hockey House logo

Molson Hockey House in Ford Hall

Ford Hall is open for fans to watch home and away games from Molson Hockey House, as well as enjoy post-game festivities.

Molson Hockey House will open two hours before puck drop on game days and entry is free of charge. Space is limited, so fans are encouraged to arrive early to secure a spot. 

Please note, fans must be at least 18 years of age to enter Molson Hockey House in Ford Hall.

Connect Centre

Access to Connect Centre business (including ICE District Authentics Official Team Store, The Canadian Icehouse and The Banquet) will be limited on game days.

These spaces are always accessible via the pedway system and can be accessed through ICE District Plaza, provided that the Ford Tailgate Party is not at capacity.

Staff will be on site to help direct fans. If you require assistance, look for the team in blue shirts with red signs.

ICE District Central Parkade

Rogers Road Game Watch Party parking is available at the ICE District Central Parkade for just $15!

Located on the north side of 103 Ave just west of 103 St, the ICE District Central Parkade offers heated spaces with convenient access to Rogers Place.

Rogers Place Bag Policy

Bags and purses are allowed, however bags larger than 12″ x 12″ x 6″ (i.e. backpacks, suitcases, beach bags, etc.) are prohibited from entry into Rogers Place. All other bags will be permitted after a physical inspection of its contents.

To assist with entry into Rogers Place with a medically necessary bag, please contact our Ticketing & Customer Services Team in advance of the event at 780-414-4625 or info@rogersplace.com

Re-Entry Policy

Rogers Place is committed to providing guests the safest and most secure environment. Exiting and re-entering the building will not be permitted at Rogers Place. Once a ticketed guest has been scanned into Rogers Place, guests cannot exit the building and return during the event.

Smoking & Cannabis Policy

For the enjoyment of all of our guests, Rogers Place is a smoke-free environment. All forms of smoking, including the use of cannabis products and electronic cigarettes (vaping), is not permitted on Rogers Place property. Please be aware that guests will not be permitted to exit and re-enter the venue during events.

If you have arrived at Rogers Place and you do not have accessible seating but require it, please visit any of our Guest Service Centres located behind Section 121, Section 129 and Section 230.

Rogers Place is fully accessible with elevator access to all seating levels.

Upon arrival at Rogers Place, fans with pacemakers may proceed to the first gate beside the Box Office as the best option to manually go through security.

  • Weapons or replicas of any kind including but not limited to:
    • Guns, firearms, ammunition, stun guns
    • Self-defense sprays, fuels, torches, lighter fluid
    • Bats, brass knuckles, batons, martial art weapons
    • Knives, razor blades, box cutters, scissors, tools
    • Explosives, aerosols and fireworks
  • All bags, backpacks, and purses – small clutches and wallets are still permitted
  • Illegal drugs, illicit substances or prescription narcotics in non-labelled containers
  • Umbrellas
  • Cameras with lenses longer than 3” (detachable or non-detachable)
  • Video cameras and the use of video capable devices such as GoPro
  • Tripods, selfie sticks, telescopic or similar devices
  • Items intended to create an optical distraction (laser pointing devices)
  • Aerosol cans or noisemaking devices, whistles, cow bells, air horns and plastic horns such as vuvuzelas
  • Any size pole or stick, including those associated with banners or flags
  • All outside food and beverage
  • Projectiles including, but not limited to, inflatable balls, frisbees and hula hoops
  • Non-service animals
  • Seat cushions, portable chairs
  • Roller blades, skateboards, scooters and bicycles

50/50 Tickets

The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF), Kids with Cancer Society, Ben Stelter Foundation and Alberta Cancer Foundation are calling on all Albertans to join the fight against cancer by supporting the Alberta Fights Cancer raffles running until the end of Round 1 of the Oilers playoff series.

These organizations are leading the fight against cancer in Alberta through innovative research and projects, advancing treatment and care, and providing support services to families—all with the goal of finding a cure for the devastating disease.

The first multi-day raffle of Round 1 is now live and will run until 11:00 PM after Game 2—with the jackpot building each day to potentially record-breaking totals.
