GARTH BROOKS – Second Weekend

Before Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood wrapped up their nine shows at Rogers Place on Saturday, February 25, a surprise ceremony was held on Friday to celebrate the five millionth ticket sold from the Garth Brooks World Tour. Along with a congratulatory message from Wayne Gretzky, a new banner donning the Rogers Place rafters was unveiled to commemorate the nine sold-out shows.

I was 11 when Garth Brooks came on the scene. At the time, and thanks to my mom, I ate, slept, and breathed country! Call it luck or determination, I got tickets for Friday night’s show in Edmonton. I can barely believe it. It’s been a 27 year dream that I have officially crossed off the top of my concert bucket list. I was overwhelmed with all of the memories I have associated with every single song! At first I thought, I’d sit back and relax and enjoy, but it was straight up party, on your feet all night, all the while singing your face off! ! I loved every single minute of it.
