(EDMONTON & VANCOUVER) – Live Nation Canada, a Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: LYV) company and Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG) today announced Live Nation Canada as the Preferred Promoter for Rogers Place and the Winter Garden, with plans to build a broader, strategic partnership between the two companies aimed at expanded content and live entertainment opportunities in the region. Ticketmaster will become the ticketing solution provider, helping OEG attract more fans and sell more tickets.
The multi-year partnership establishes Rogers Place as a premiere destination for top-tier talent and places OEG at the centre of live entertainment in Edmonton and Northern Alberta accessing Live Nation Canada’s vast platform of artists, concerts, festivals and events. Under the Preferred Promoter agreement for Rogers Place and the Winter Garden, Live Nation Canada will provide world-class content as well as strategic planning towards the Facility’s Entertainment strategy.
The partnership also lays the foundation for OEG to expand its footprint in the region by aligning with Live Nation Canada’s industry-leading experience and expertise.
OEG will also access Live Nation Canada’s expertise and talent in the Rogers Place Grand Opening plan.
