APRIL FOOLS’: WORLD’S TALLEST STATUE

This year we harmlessly tried fooling Edmontonian’s with yet another April Fools’ joke. Here’s a look at what it was about:

ICE District is growing in height, once again. The world’s tallest statue is modelled after an iconic Albertan and will find a home in the district’s plaza. It will redefine Edmonton’s skyline and rival the height of the Stantec tower at 211 meters tall.

Energy was at an all-time high during the LA Kings and Edmonton Oilers Game on March 28, 2017. After winning 2-1, Playoff hockey is coming to Rogers Place for the very first time! The Oilers clinched their spot during Fan Appreciation Night, and Oil Country couldn’t be more excited.

For the first time, playoff hockey is coming to Rogers Place! The Edmonton Oilers announced tickets for all four possible home games for the Club’s 2017 Round 1 playoff series will go on sale Monday, April 10 at 10:00 AM.
