Keith Urban was one of the first artists to perform inside Edmonton’s newest sports and entertainment facility, headlining the inaugural Rogers Place concert on Friday, Sept. 16.
“It’s one of the best sounding arenas I’ve played in.”
When asked recently to reflect upon the venue and the historic concert, the country music superstar raved about his experience.
“So many arenas are purely built for sport and the concert sound suffers, but not Rogers Place,” Urban said. “It’s one of the best sounding arenas I’ve played in.”
The four-time Grammy Award winner also used Twitter to share his first reactions to seeing Rogers Place.

As Urban christened the arena with his energy and belted out his long list of hit singles, the night was just as memorable for the audience as it was for the performer.
