(EDMONTON, AB) – Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG) announced today a multi-year extension of their partnership with Ford of Canada, which is highlighted by the renaming of the Wintergarden at Rogers Place to Ford Hall.
Ford has been the Official Automotive Partner of the Oilers for over 15 years. The partnership extension maintains that status and will also recognize Ford as a Founding Partner of Edmonton’s new state-of-the-art downtown arena, Rogers Place.
Ford Hall, the 25,000 sq. ft. grand atrium entrance to Rogers Place, will not only be a gathering place prior to and during events held inside the arena, it will host stand-alone events throughout the year.
“We are very pleased to be able to continue our partnership with Ford of Canada and the Edmonton-area Ford Dealers,” stated Bob Nicholson, CEO and Vice-Chair of OEG. “Ford’s passion for not only the Oilers and our fans, but also for Rogers Place and the growth of Greater Edmonton speaks loudly to their commitment to Oil Country.”
“Ford of Canada has been a proud partner of the Edmonton Oilers for many years, and along with the Edmonton-area Ford Dealers, we are excited to be a part of this new beginning”, said Jim Hartford, vice-president of marketing at Ford of Canada. “We look forward to supporting the team and the city of Edmonton for years to come”
In addition to naming rights for Ford Hall at Rogers Place, Ford’s partnership will include vehicle and technology activations inside the facility, in-market promotions, the continuation of the highly-popular Ford Drills & Skills event, and a significant brand presence.
