Dixie Chicks & Elle King Coming to Rogers Place


Tickets go on sale this Friday (May 13th), at 10:00am MDT.

The Dixie Chicks announced they will be playing at Rogers Place on September 29, 2016 with special guest Elle King.

Urban concert sells out


Keith Urban marks the first sold-out show for Rogers Place. Tickets for the ripCORD WORLD TOUR 2016—which will help to open Rogers Place on September 16th—sold-out in only 20 minutes on Friday, May 6th.

 

While tickets for Dolly Parton’s Pure & Simple Tour are also selling-out fast, limited tickets still remain available.

Pro Bull-Riding to come to Rogers Place in 2017


Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG) CEO Bob Nicholson announced OEG’s partnership with WME | IMG & PBR on Thursday, May 5.

A three-day Professional Bull Riding (PBR) event will conclude a 10-day “western lifestyle festival,” which Nicholson anticipates will incorporate hockey and other live entertainment in conjunction with Farmfair International.

“We are excited to work with WME | IMG on attraction other events and opportunities to Edmonton – they are a global sports and entertainment company and share our vision to bring new and exciting programming to Edmonton,” said Nicholson.

In related news, the City of Edmonton announced they would not proceed with its bid for the 2017 Canadian Finals Rodeo.

Winter Garden art progress update


Alex Janvier provided a sneak peek at his artwork, Tsątsąke k’e (Iron Foot Place), a circular mosaic which will be installed in the floor of the Winter Garden.
Once completed, it will measure approximately 45-feet in diameter.

 

Donations to Support Fort McMurray


On Wednesday, May 4, The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) announced that they would be contributing $100,000 towards the Red Cross to support fire relief efforts, on behalf of the Oilers Entertainment Group.
